How to never have er*ction again without other harm

Posted by confusingthings @confusingthings, Jun 18, 2023

A few things first:
1. Don't say that this is how things are meant to be, I hate it
2. This isn't to be dissuaded
3. Don't say to 'solve it' each time with a method that I won't mention, that's disgusting.

So I'm a young guy, asexual, but currently struggling because very frequently, and at random times of day or night I get unwanted er*ctions that I can't get rid of, not fuelled by any thoughts or anything I've seen. They're uncomfortable and sometimes painful, extremely awkward even when alone, and make it very difficult for my family and friends to believe I'm ace when this happens.

What kind of drugs, or medical procedures, are out there that I could take or have done to *never* have one of these again, without disrupting the apparently necessary other hormones that are supplied by the testes and such? Like to essentially deliberately get ED?

I was interested in what I perceive to be an intense response. Perhaps some medical/psychological evaluation is in order to rule out any problems. Erections can occur at any moment, spontaneous erections, specially when young. Painful? I don't recall hearing men saying erections are painful. Not wanting to have an erection ever again is somewhat extreme, in my opinion, especially at a young age.
Give sex a chance. It's great!!!!!

@newrochelle1131 they were occasionally painful to me as well, and really really too often.
also there are lot of intimate situations that are very good without including erections in them. i recognise that i did give them a chance (more for someone else than myself) and i do regret some of it ; that's more trauma to heal from on the pile we already had.
maybe not wanting to have erections ever again can seem extreme to you, but accepting to let them come for no valid reason always and forever, despite how horrible they can may make feel, is also kind of extreme. there's no consent in them, it's just actively suffering their forced presence again and again and again.
like, no thanks. there's more to life than getting your emotional state destroyed 30 times a day for no reason.

Thinking out loud… To the extent that these are caused from mental or visual stimulation, I wonder what role culture plays?

The U.S. has massively sexualized nudity for instance. This creates a very heightened world of stimulation for guys. The slightest peek, or thought, results in a flood from guys adrenal gland.

OTOH, someone growing up in most European countries will be exposed to nudity, of both sexes, routinely throughout their lives from the day they're born until the day they die. This on beaches, in saunas, or on TV. Nudity itself is not sexual nor 'bad'. Nor necessarily arousing without other elements along with it.
