How to get rid of knee joint paint without surgery

The 1/2 and 1/2 is a good idea. I used to suffer from very painful heartburn and took Omeprazole daily and it would control it . After using it for years my family practice doctor said I should try to go off it and each time I did the symptoms reappeared. With all the news about the side effect of long term use of this drug I did give it up and started each day with a piece of string cheese with my tea. I also drink a cup of decaf after dinner, so that intake is on a full stomach. It seems coating our stomachs to block the acid it a big help. Haven't taken Omeprazole in over 6 months now and no issues.

@lioness Actually Omeprazole uses for Acidic problem.I think that it not use for osteoarthritis.

@dementmt I was talking about before you take an nsaid ,if you have a tendency to have a stomach problem. like heartburn or sour stomach drink 1/2@1/2 or something to coat your stomach first . I had an ulcebut especially nsaids long ago and was on nexium for quiet awhile and have a tendency with to much acid so coating the stomach first helps before you take any meds

@edithmiller Even before I take any meds unless otherwise stated take on an empty stomach I take after I eat as I know how my stomach reacts if I take any meds on an empty stomach. usually milk of somekind I like 1/2@1/2 but any will do. thanks for you confirmation.

You have all offered some good suggestions, thanks so much! I purchased some "no sugar added" tapioca pudding and now take that with the NSAID at night.
