Thanks for posting this. I saw a video about three years ago where the specialist suggested two isometric exercises, basically pressing the hands together in front of your chest almost as hard as you can do it, and counting for 10 seconds. Repeat three times. There was another exercise where you press down with one hand and the other holds it up, or prevents it. Same protocol. When you relax and measure BP about two minutes later, you'll notice a drop. That's good, but how sustained will that drop be? If it is more than a couple of hours, then that's at least two hours in a closer-to-normal or normal range...which might help....some.
I have also learned that healthy kidneys will excrete excesses of any elements, although potassium can really tax the kidneys....so watch how much you intake daily. Both hyper and hypo-kalemia are bad for the heart. But this article deals mostly with salt, and it has been the black sheep of hypertension for donkey's years. If salt is causing hypertension, it suggests to me that a very close assessment of the kidneys needs to be done since the kidneys play a crucial role in the stability of one's blood pressure.
