How long after Lupron will testosterone level return to normal?

I received a 6-month injection of Lupron on November 14, 2022. At the 6-month checkup and after 20 sessions of RT my testosterone was 9 and my PSA was < .001. I am a cyclist and before the injection I was riding 150 to 200 miles a week over 4 days with a group. I started slowly feeling the effects of the Lupron about 6 weeks after the injection but keep riding my bike 4 days a week, millage dropped at one point during the RT to 30 miles per week. At my 1-year checkup November 15, 2023, my PSA was still < .001 but my testosterone was up to 488. I am now still riding 4 days a week and 125 miles per week. I feel that I am gaining most of the muscle strength that I lost and am finally being able to put out enough watts on rides to breath hard on the hills, but still struggling on the weight gain from the Lupron. I was able to do a 101-mile ride for my 78th birthday December 15, 2023. I was Gleason 7 4+3 in 3 of 12 cores with a PSA of 7.6 The side effects from the initial injection of Lupron, 15 months later are mostly gone.

It sounds like to me that you have completely recovered from the ADT but your slow down may be related to gained weight. We are all different I am 15 months post ADT meds etc and my T is 100 and my PSA is .01 I am good with these numbers

Did either of you experience muscular weakness in your arms and if so is your muscle strength returning to them post ADT and of course loss of libido did it return post ADT???

I have loss muscle since ADT ( but I am also 77) so a little work around my house and garden results in muscle pain. Tylinol is a big help. My T is 100 15 months after stopping ADT. My primary goal is staying alive and not so much as being athletic.

Hallo from Italy; I have taken the Lupron for two years; when the cancer was diagnosed my PSA was very high (40) and my general practitioner considered me almost doomed; however the clinical exams was negative about metastasis. The tumor was localized but very big.
Two and a half years after the end of radiotherapy and one year after the discontinuation of Lupron my testosterone is normal at 5,62; my PSA 0,040. I think I was lucky and I thank the Italian public health system that treated me well (Gemelli Hospital Rome).

I received two three monthly injections of Lupron one in May and the other in August this year. This was coupled with 30 sessions of RT from early June to early July. I did a blood test in August and my PSA was at 0.11. I did a second blood test on the 4th of this month. The PSA is now at 0.03. My testosterone level is terribly depressed at 0.6. I have lost a significant amount of muscle strength as a result of which I battle to run a mere two miles. During the RT and after I had been injected with the first dose of Lupron I ran two half marathons. The big T though terribly depressed does not worry me much as my focus is on getting well. I must admit though that I from time to time wonder as to when the T will get to normal levels and the hot flashes will leave me alone.

orgovyx seems to have a faster return time then say lupron or eligard does from basic data on these lupron and eligard are like gen 1 versions means they have been in use quite a long time orgovyx is a newer gen 2 versions so not as much long term data on it and its reaction times vs the other 2 are out yet but some show its a bit faster T return time vs the other 2, thier is more meds then these but dont have info on which is which and which is better for each aspect of target response and side effect terms thats kind of a vague area on data

My recovery of T with the 18th months of Lupron was a bit slower to at the three months mark than the 12 months of Orgovyx at the same point. At six months, they were more or less the same. I have labs next week for my annual Medicare wellness exam so I should know my T at the one-year point of coming off Orgovyx, it was 608 to start,

The general rule of thumb of Orgovyx vs say Lupron is that more men will recover T and faster...that is statistics though...there are factors, age, starting T, perhaps exercise, which agent and how long one was on it...
