How did I get MAC and 2 years later Nocardia ?

I have a 3 season room attached to my master bedroom with a hot tub and many plants, cedar wood on the walls. I had MAC 2 years ago, now Nocardia. Is there a way to determine if I got sick from the hot tub and plants? We drained the hot tub and removed the plant's. Can I test for anything?
