How are you considering vaccinations in the brave new world?
I am 3.5 years post liver transplant which stemmed from autoimmune disease. Until now I have felt comfortable managing immunity with masking still in some contexts, being diligent, and paying close attention to vaccines and CDC recommendations. Trying to step out of politics, I am increasingly very concerned that we as patients and our care providers will have less access to truthful information federally, and will be able to access the vaccines and testing we need. How are you managing these worries- or are you worried?

Good morning Kate. I am also about 3.5 years post liver transplant and have been concerned about this issue. Ultimately, I have decided that I will follow the advice of my transplant team, and continue to take whatever vaccines they recommend. I have confidence in their judgment in helping me manage the risk of infection.
I am 2 1/2 years post transplant and vaccination wise I have had zero vaccinations, flu , Covid etc my personal choice the government doesn’t know my body I do call anti whatever I don’t care and my hospital let my choice be mine, I have never been sick in years of any kind. My whole family got everything and my mother had a stroke over it and all my siblings had Covid at least 3 times, it’s a personal decision and I’m very happy with mine.
I guess it’s a matter of one’s individual choice balanced with community public health. I feel that in general immune compromised people are safer when the whole community is safer. I am concerned that the fewer people out there being vaccinated increases risks for vulnerable people. You are vulnerable but so far have been lucky.
Me too at this point. My infectious control Dr on my team was in the CDC vaccine panel that was abruptly dismantled/changed. I’m planning to follow her advice and state public health recommendations as well as my own common sense.
I’m not vulnerable I stay away from crowds live in the country and my whole town nobody wore masks and many not vaccinated herd immunity does work big cities and crowds I could see it . I take everything natural that everyone was told not to take and yes it works. I’m only down to 3 meds and started with 26 meds
Good morning from Canada 🇨🇦
If you feel doubtful about the credibility of the health information, may I suggest that you visit the Canadian health authorities websites. There you will find unbiased credible health information and guidance.❤️
What a great idea- I had not considered that possibility. Many thanks 🇨🇦
I graduated high school with Dr Robert Malone look this guy up he now works for RFK you can learn a lot from this guy and not Frauchi Malone had death threats trying to expose the truth I strongly suggest that
Despite my doubts that COVID vaccines did anything, I will have to take some advice, but I will avoid the COVID varieties. They produced them too quick, this concerns me. My wife is having strange heart symptoms, and no-one can give a reason. As a nurse she has had every booster etc.... There is another wave that has been bought to where I live from Thailand, and everyone is getting it. Despite getting all the shots I was still hospitalised as a result of catching COVID.
I also had an autoimmune liver disease. I pretty much do what my doctors recommend. I trust them. I am also 38 years post transplant and still doing ok.
