How about a laugh, (hopefully)

Posted by Leonard @jakedduck1, Dec 31, 2018

I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

@lacy2

To be honest months ago when I first saw “jokes” on here I had to look twice, as reading and writing comments about serious and not so serious issues....and hesitated to even read. The first time I did was the first time in a long time I had a smile on my face... and actually felt as bit more my old self even if only for a short time. I even started sending some to adult child, because as have said, we are not and were not a joke telling family, although they liked comedy show... and now she is sending me some one liners. It’s nice to have a reprieve from illness at times, however short, thank you.

How did Dracula learn to be a vampire? He took a crash corpse, of course. Any idea on what to do if you've got a broken gourd? Fix it with a pumpkin patch. Didja hear about the ghost that went to a bar? She was looking for boo's.

A doctor accidentally prescribes his patient a laxative instead of cough syrup. Three days later the patient comes for a check-up and the doctor asks, “Well? Are you still coughing?” The patient replies, “No, I’m afraid to.”

We really need a "groan" icon-comment-thingy for this thread!
Thanks for the laughs!!! and the groans!! and the smiles!!

Have you noticed that these one liners give us something to talk about beyond our illnesses? Yet another plus!!
I read these out to my husband so we can share a laugh and not just share chores.
THANKS!
