High lacto iners

Posted by lareesaa @lareesaa, Aug 22, 2022

I had ureaplasma infection. Took antibiotics and now it's at only 4%. But now, I have 95% lactobacillus iners and it's SO PAINFUL. Worse than ever. I've tried so many different things. I know lacto iners are natural part of the biome but I think bc it's so high it's giving me tons of pain. Help.

Hello @lareesaa and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I see you posted a couple weeks back so wanted to check in.

It seems that an overgrowth of lacto iners may cause cytolytic vaginosis. Is this a term you've heard of previously?

Yes, but I've also heard that high iners isn't CV. I'm not sure how it needs to be treated. It's killing me.

@lareesaa when is the last time you were seen and evaluated by a healthcare professional? Did they give you direction?
