Wow you sound like me. I too cannot take any of the meds. Lyrica was one of the real bad ones.
I take Ropinirole for RLS. Anyone else tried it? Sometimes I think I get just as good as or better relief with homeopathic tablets.
I take Pramipexol before bed for restless legs. It has been working fine, but lately I seem to be getting more spasm legs an cramp instead of jus the strong twitching and annoyance.
I got off Lyrica years ago and take green tea extract with ginger root and turmeric for my fibromyalgia. Gabapentin gives me diarrhea.
@dcastle does it work for you ,in what way . I'm trying out Ashwaganda root
drops an seems to be helping with my head zaps an it has a relaxing
feeling. I didn't start the Gabapentin..
Well not really sure this is my diagnosis as everything they have tested me for is negative. They want to put me on low dose naltrexone. Anyone on this ?
I was on low dose Naltrexone and didn't find any relief from my symptoms. However that doesn't mean it won't work for you. I have had Fibromyalgia for 26 years along with Chronic Fatigue and Cossacki B enterovirus and I have been on 600 mg. of Gabapentin since my diagnosis. I would love to get off the Gabapentin but I am afraid the Fibromyalgia will come back with a vengeance. I also tried Lyrica and one of the other med's for Fibromyalgia and they didn't help with my pain.
Just wondering when you stopped it any withdrawal symptoms. I have tried other drugs and had to wean and then had some withdrawals ?

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia three years ago. I am trying low dose Naltrexone. You start on a low dose of .5mg and work your way up to 3-4mg. I tried it twice before but discontinued it after a few weeks each time because I thought it was making my insomnia worse.
I am giving it a third try and this time it's working better. It might be because I'm not in a flare right now. Right now I'm at 1.5mg a day. I am sleeping better too but don't know if it's because of the LDN or not.
It's certainly worth a try. As far as I know it doesn't have to be tapered if you want to stop taking it. The only downside is that it's not covered by insurance and you have to get it from a compounding pharmacy since it's not available in low doses at a regular pharmacy. My pharmacy charged me $60 for 75 pills at the .5mg dose.
