Help with pain what works???

Posted by waters @waters, Feb 23 6:32am

I have neuropathy and it started with buring feet when walking and now its numb feet at night or leg cramps last 2 years up every 2 hours. Anyone using natural or creams that work ? They could not give me any answer why or pain meds that did not work like

I’m not sure if mine is trigeminal or not. I just occasionally have itchy eyebrows and occasionally my face will itch. It’s only seems to happen when I’m too hot but thanks for the info.

All...not sure if your pain problems are a nerve pain problem....I have been suffering from Trigeminal Nerve Pain caused by a dentist. Thru my own research I have discovered a
nerve pain procedure that is FDA approved and has been around for over 10 years. Apparently not many doctors know about it. It is NON-INVASIVE and not painful. It is called The Scrambler Technique and I found out about it thru The Mayo Clinic....Further, because I live
in NYC, I have found a small clinic in Clifton, NJ that does this technique....The bad news
is that is not covered by Insurance and is a "out of pocket" expense. There are 10 sessions and each session is about 30 minutes. If you think this would work for you, check out the
following...SCRAMBLER TECHNIQUE....OR CALMARETHERAPYNJ.COM. It is 90 % effective!

Thank you for your kindness suggestion
I will most definitely look in to it. I just can’t get myself to try the ketamine infusions that one Dr thinks could help
Bless you

I am trying vitamin B complex and Alpha Lipoic Acid 600mg. So far it is helping. I discontinued the Amitriptyline about 5 weeks ago .

I have had tremendous success in stopping the foot burning with R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. I’m on my sixth month taking 600mg at breakfast and 300 at supper. I’m weaning myself off amitriptyline, which worked for a while but I had to keep upping the dose and I don’t want to do that. My feet used to feel like they were on fire as soon as I got into bed. Not anymore! I’m thankful God brought me to this forum where I’ve been helped so much!

@trishdub Thank you for sharing that information.
How is Alpha Lipoic acid on the stomach? I am just on 600 mg. I was thinking about adding acetyl- L- Carniting. Anyone tried this yet?

@mj26 I have had no trouble with ALA on my stomach. Every once in a while I will get some pretty good heartburn (other folks have mentioned this as well), but it doesn't last more than a few minutes. Sometimes I will take two Rolaids if I have them handy and that takes care of it. I'm not sure if the heartburn is a result of what I take it with (I do always take it with food), as it hasn't happened enough for me to be bothered with.
Personally, I have not taken acetyl-L-carnitine. I just looked that up and I shouldn't think that you would need both, although perhaps one might work better for you than the other. Whatever you try, unless it clearly makes you worse, do try for 3 months before deciding if it makes a positive difference or not.

@trishdub Thank you for the follow up. I will stick with the Alpha Lipoic Acid.
The B12 helps as well. I might bump the Alpha up to a 300 at night. See if that gives me more relief.
Thanks

I just started standing on course Himalayan salt for 10-15 minutes, I read about it I’ve tried everything and prescribed drugs did nothing, I know it takes a week to feel results I did the first day, sometimes it’s always the common sense method then the chemical one, I ll let you know how it goes meanwhile read up on it

@pgruetz
How do you do this? Do you reuse the salt? Do you do it once/day?
How long have you done this?
