I have had tremendous success in stopping the foot burning with R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. I’m on my sixth month taking 600mg at breakfast and 300 at supper. I’m weaning myself off amitriptyline, which worked for a while but I had to keep upping the dose and I don’t want to do that. My feet used to feel like they were on fire as soon as I got into bed. Not anymore! I’m thankful God brought me to this forum where I’ve been helped so much!

@trishdub Thank you for sharing that information.
How is Alpha Lipoic acid on the stomach? I am just on 600 mg. I was thinking about adding acetyl- L- Carniting. Anyone tried this yet?

What a great recommendation. This is the information which I am seeing in just a general google search.
"R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (R-ALA) is an antioxidant used to treat diabetic neuropathy, specifically targeting symptoms like burning, pain, and numbness, with studies supporting a dosage of 600 mg/day for significant symptom reduction. R-ALA is the more bioavailable, active form of ALA and may offer better efficacy for nerve damage"
