Heart PACs, anxiety and 25mg Zoloft...does the medication make PACs wo
Three months ago my PACS started. Ever since, i have developed crazy anxiety and cardiophobia. My doctor gave me rx for Zoloft 25mg to use. Will start prescription next week. Has anyone been using this med? Does it help with heart anxiety or make things worse?

I'm not qualified medically, so take what I say with a healthy dose of 'Yeah, I'm gonna check this out first...'
Zoloft is an SSRI, as far as this uneducated brain knows. This would be useful for clinical depression or some mood disorders. It manages brain chemistry. Not all SSRIs work well in all patients, so there's some experimentation ahead for you and your advising physician. I don't know that Zoloft is useful for anxiety....most are prescribed Xanax for that condition or any other number of suitable medications. But I might learn that Zoloft works well for people with low grade and transient/temporary need for reduction of anxiety.
Well, I just googled the question:

But keep an open mind, and don't defeat the drug just because you fear it might be the wrong prescription. Indeed, it MAY BE the wrong one for you, and you will need to search for a useful fit in another drug, but give the Zoloft a serious 'college try' first! WANT it to work!
