Managing heart issues with long Covid
I had a coronary calcium screening for high cholesterol - which I had before Covid - which revealed pericardial effusion (inflammation surrounding the heart) and ectasia of the ascending aorta (bulge) if I understand the report correctly. I haven't seen my primary yet. I'm a 72 year old female in great health (except LC) I eat whole foods, exercised all my life and continue as best I can, in a good weight range. Could this be Covid related?

Perfect description! You think one symptom is waning, and then a new one pops up...bag of symptoms...love this description.
Similar, I missed the last booster until I was already incubating COVID. Became ill 5 days after the shot. I thought I was completely well 10 / 12 days later, felt great. Then collapsed on Feb 17, 2023 with A-fib. This was the kick off to so called Long Covid and a host of accompanying symptoms.
I had completed heart tests that showed my now damaged heart was in perfect shape.
