Heart Failure and the number game.

I have apical HF-pEF I’ve been seen at Mayo for last 20 years off and on. I’m headed towards heart failure/evaluation I think, but not sure. I find mixed info. So hoping I can find someone that’s been through and to heart transplant to help me know just what to watch for or how to feel. Pretty sure I’ve never felt good but know I could also feel worse. I also know I don’t want this process put off til it’s too late so can anybody clue me into when, where and what I should expect in this process.

My fellow mentor, Dana @danb had a heart transplant, and I hope he will be able to share his experience with you. I also suggest that you look at the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association website 4hcm.org for more information and support. The founder, Lisa, is a heart transplant recipient! She's an admirable lady who has dedicated her life after transplant to help others. On their website, you can sign up for an intake call. You have been a patient at Mayo, most excellent! The HCM Association would be a good source of other information you want to know. ((HUG)) as you progress on your possible journey for a new heart.
