HCM patient looking for advise

I have HCM and developed AFIb which is common in older age. I had a blood clot removed from the brain and am now on Eliquis blood thinner. I have become depressed and am looking for a comparable antidepressant to take with Eliquis anHCM condition. Anyone else have had this happen

Hi @lvon,
I'm sorry to hear about all you have gone through. It would be challenging to have so many conditions to deal with as you have. No wonder you feel depressed.
You ask a good question here on Connect, but this would be something to ask your treating physician.
Other members may be able to share with you their experience, but since we are all unique and different, what works for one, may not work for you.
Have you talked to your cardiologist or FP about this?

You didn’t mention whether or not you were on Camzyos for the HCM. There are multiple antidepressants that can be used with both Eliquis and Camzyos. Your physician should be aware. Good luck!
