Having a Bad Day

Posted by hopenr @hopenr, Jul 17 6:39pm

I am a 71 yo female, diagnosed with HoCM in my 60s after a life threatening episode of Pericarditis. I get regular (yearly) echos, etc and at one point was being assessed for Camzyos. It was decided I wasn't bad enough. Two months ago, I jogged a 5K and today I am back with symptoms- neck tightness and general exhaustion. I hate it. I believe the heat makes it worse and wonder if others have that experience. Walking my dog wipes me out. I take verapamil and amiodurone. I am really just posting for support and encouragement. I am scheduled for an echo in September but I feel really lousy!! Thank you for including me.

Yes I had a VO2 Max stress test and I aced it which is why they decided I was not a candidate for Camzyos. It really does change every day. I live in Colorado so no humidity but we are coming off of a heat wave and it knocked me out. Then I get depressed and anxious which does not help.
