Have you had experience w/ costochondritis?

HI, I had an episode in the middle of the night that caused severe pain in my mid back and sternum, it seemed to radiate around my ribs and my pain was at a 7 or 8. It lasted 2 1/2 hours with the pain, eventually subsiding to aches and some burning sensations in my mid back and shoulder blades. I do not feel it was cardiovascular. Online it mentions that it could have been costochondritis and I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and what do you do to help? Thank you!

I get this sometimes and had all the cardiac workups in the ER twice. It was determined that it was gastric and I had esophageal spasms. Hyoscyamine under the tongue helped a lot but it's hit or miss. I think sometimes it's costochondritis and sometimes GERD because Fibromyalgia can cause problems practically everywhere!
