Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and IVIG Treatment?*
Has anyone been recommended IVIG treatment for Hashimoto's thyroiditis? I have found plenty of references for IVIG therapy for Hashimoto's encephalopathy, but not for thyroiditis alone. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I saw your comment here and thought I’d try to help you with Hashimoto’s and to understand it. I suffer from Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism. I take 75 mcg of Synthroid to control it. Hashimoto’s is an auto immune disease and there is no medication to treat it, however, you can eliminate certain foods to help with body inflammation. I have eliminated eating Gluten, Dairy, Soy and Seed Oils. They are highly inflammatory and will cause body inflammation. By cutting these out of your diet, your inflammation should come down and you may even loose a few lbs. I also had a food sensitivity test done to see what foods I am sensitive to. I have taken those foods out as well, mostly Nightshades like tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini etc. It does work.

You are correct. I have eliminated these foods plus seed oils and after years of my thyroid levels not being stable, my levels are in good ranges.
There’s an app I discovered called Seed Oil Scout. Restaurants are rated based on their use of seed oils. Not all restaurants everywhere are listed. However, it’s handy for many popular restaurants.

I am also doing three monthly IVIG infusions for Scleromyositis and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease. This treatment has not helped the Hashimoto's and the large amount of liquid in the infusions seems to exascerbate the lymphedema that comes with Hashimoto's. What does help me is Lose Dose Naltrexone
