Nicotinamide riboside: Has the NoPark study been discussed?
It has been upgraded to being a Phase 3 trial. I cannot add a link, but here is a summary: Researchers in Norway recently published the results of a small pilot study investigating the therapeutic potential of a form of Vitamin B3 – called nicotinamide riboside – in people with Parkinson’s. Regarding NAD and its precursor vitamin Niagen (nicotinamide ribose, NR) see AboutNAD.com and ScienceofNAD.com
The results of that randomised, double-blind study were encouraging as they demonstrated that orally-administered nicotinamide riboside treatment could boost energy levels in the brain and reduce the amount of inflammatory signaling.
The study was small, but provides strong justification for a much larger, ongoing Phase II clinical trial evaluating the disease modifying potential of nicotinamide riboside in 400 people with Parkinson’s.

@eojeda1 - just wanted to let you know that I moved your post here to an existing Mayo Clinic Connect discussion where others were talking about nicotinamide riboside and Parkinson's:
- Nicotinamide riboside: Has the NoPark study been discussed? https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/has-the-nopark-s-tudy-veen-discussed/
I believe you'd mentioned in another discussion that your husband has Parkinson's? Has he taken nicotinamide riboside, or is he considering it? Have you read anything helpful about it for which you'd want to provide the link here?

Hi! Yes, my husband has PD. I am always researching. He has not taken NR; however, I am very interested in its potential. I came across the following information: https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/diet-nutrition/a64566791/what-is-nad/
