Has anyone used Oxervate for dry eye?
My optometrist prescribed this for me, but the product insert says it’s for neurotrophic keratitis.
I don’t believe I have neurotrophic keratitis, although it’s well established that I have many other factors that contribute to severe dry eye. I do plenty of other dry eye treatments but I am still uncomfortable.
This treatment seems really expensive and possibly painful. Has it worked for anyone’s dry eye?

I would get a second opinion and maybe see a neuro eye doctor.

1 ReactionI have NK and used Oxervate over a year ago. I think it helped with some of my eye issues but took a while to see the effects as most eye issues do. You have to put a drop in the eye every 2 hours six times a day for 8 weeks. The cost is obscene but with my insurance it ended up costing $50. It took a while to get my insurance finalized with my Dr’s help. They warned me it could be painful but it wasn’t for me. You can also get another treatment if needed. I felt it was worth it, my eye issues had lessened.
