I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

I've got CRPS type 2 Karen, the symptoms are alot alike it's a nerve disorder, but more painful. I m 50 years old got hurt at work 4 years ago and have been pretty much bedridden since. I was very physical before my injury at work, golf. Softball, hiking, gym, then my life changed overnight. I take CBD oil without THC, I just get stuck on stupid with it and after a while it wasn't fun anymore. But I'm walking Karen, without it, i cannot walk. My pain isn't as intense either, I teccomend trying it. I don't take opioids, they don't work!!!
Does CBD really work, what if you are on a bunch of other meds. I usually go in and get a steroid shot in my spine for pain but since I am also diabetic that shoots my numbers up and actually the shot isn't doing all that much. I have just heard about rhizotomy burn . Has anyone had that done, is it helpful and beneficial to have it done……. About the CBD how do you know how much to take or does your dr. help with that……. thanks,
When I hear it does not work for arthritic pain I am guess that your dose is not high enough or it’s not taken frequently enough. It does take experimentation. They suggest increasing the dose after a one week trial of each strength. It took me at least a month. I think people are too cautious. Increase by at least 25% each time. This is how it’s done in hospice nursing of which I’ve been for 39 years. Also it needs much more than once a day. I found good relief taking 3 dropper fulls every 4 hours while awake. Please keep trying.

@janhilaski, @margito, what a honest and helpful post. You are so experienced and your recommendation of a dropper full every four hours reminds us to stay ahead of the pain. Thank you. And just a note from my experience. You need to have at least a 2:1 CBD to THC dosage. I have just spent five days packing and making decisions about so many things as I prepared to move after selling my home in the mountains. It was mentally and physically exhausting. With my SFN in high gear, I would not have been able to do it. I found that a 1:1 CBD to THC was even more helpful in the afternoon. So after a day of rest, I will make my way to the dispensary to replenish my tinctures before flying to my new home. I also have good success with a 3:1 topical for the needle-like pain in my hands. Once again, the recommendation to stay ahead of the pain would be the same….. 3 to 4 applications a day. Be safe and enjoy some pain free hours and even days. Chris

My condition is utterly different than yours, but I do live with excruciating pain, and I do find that CBD oils work well. There are two I recommend, and researched them for hours on line. One is a salve, that you put on your skin where you hurt. It is fabulous for me. The other is a liquid that you put under your tongue. You take a dropper full, twice a day. It is relaxing, and removes you from your pain. I get these products from two different companies, and think they are quite good. The salve is from "Ananda." Ananda makes only one salve and it is spectrum salve 125. I have severe peripheral neuropathy and it is very good on my throbbing feet and toes. The other product is from a company, CBD Distillery. The product is full spectrum 1000 mg CBD oil. That is what you put under your tongue, and is very relaxing without the high of marijuana. CBD Distillery also has stronger than 1000 mg oils, but I have not tried them. Anyway, these are moderately priced, and work. Like I said, I spent hours of research to find the right companies to buy from . I am happy with my choices. Best of luck to you. Pain can utterly take over your life.

I take 1000 mg a day of CBD oil without THC, it also works. You all need to try this, some people need the THC to feel relief some don't, but I can walk now only because of the CBD oil. Which ever works for you with or without, it's worth it.!
