Has anyone tried zepbound to help with weight gain from seizure meds?

Posted by angie36 @angie36, Nov 24 9:25am

My neurologist mentioned a bunch of his patients are on brand zepbound because of the weight gain from the seizure meds. Wondering about anyone's experience/feedback good or bad. Thanks.

Hi @angie36
A warm welcome to our group!
I don't have personal experience with Zepbound, but I wanted to share something my doctor always reminds me of: we're all so wonderfully unique, which means medications can affect each of us quite differently.
I've learned this through my epilepsy journey. I've met people who thrived on certain AEDs that either didn't work for me or caused really rough side effects. After going through some challenging experiences with some AEDs, I actually stopped reading medication leaflets – not to ignore important information, but to avoid letting it create unnecessary worry or anxiety before I even start.
Here's what has helped me: jot down anything new you notice – even small things – and share those observations with your doctor. That way, he or she can work with you to fine-tune your medication and treatment plan.
Wishing you all the best with your treatment!
Chris
