Has anyone tried Umary Hialuronica Acidio from Mexico?
I bought a bottle of this UMARY Hialuronica Acidio from Amazon - I wanted something to help with my morning stiffness from PMR. I tried one pill mid- afternoon and the next morning I felt like new! No pain - no stiffness. BUT - after reading some negative reviews on Amazon I became aware of some possible issues, that because it works so well there must be an unlisted ingredient(s) - perhaps a NSAID OR A STEROID? One person mentioned after a couple months of using it started to mess up his liver enzymes. Since I am on 10mg of prednisone I decided to only take this supplement once every 4 days until I see my rheumatologist in April - I did not see any warning from the FDA for Umary - there are many more positive reviews than negative reviews on Amazon- I wish I could get it analyzed to be sure it’s safe but I don’t know where such can be done.

Please let me know if you find a place to analyze it and what you find out. I have been using Umary for about 4 months with amazing results but am leery about what might be in it. It works so well but everyone I know that has taken it has gained weight so we are all wondering what is REALLY in it. I feel so great when I am on it that I hate to give it up. I have searched for a lab in the U.S. to test it but the only one that said they could said it would cost $15000 to $25,000 to do so!
I too have been taking the Umary, actually purchased it in Mexico. I'm from Canada and I am about to send one of the Umary pills to this place for analysis. It's free for anyone to send in any medication for analysis.
You can send it and have it analysed at get your drugs tested website in Canada
I doubt if your Dr will be able to help as the issue seems to be what might be in this pill that is NOT on the label. Like so many people, I had such amazing results from using Umary that I have to wonder if there isn't something in it that isn't on the label. I've contacted about 8 labs in hopes of having it analyzed but the only one that said they could do it charges $15,000 to $25,000. I am willing to spend some money to find out but not that much! It's hard to believe that we can't find out for sure what is in something that we are purchasing and digesting!?
Please let us know what you find out. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in the US that can do such a test.
Exactly. This medicine or supplement is coming directly from Mexico. Regardless if the back of the bottle says California or not. Where I work has been trying to order this for months. As a distributor she can't even touch it. There are no regulations on it. You do not know what you are getting when you take it. I'll clarify that I do in fact take it, I ordered mine from Walmart (who now has it out of stock). I feel like it's working but I also know the chance I'm taking just by using it. People are calling it a miracle drug, yeah it is a miracle the United States is letting it slip through customs. Lol. Just be informed when taking anything that isn't regulated or doesn't have that seal of approval on it. That's all.
Hi, I am interested in knowing more about this and where to find it. I am in Canada as well.
@cabo63 have you sent it in for testing yet? If not maybe you can share the name of the company and I will if it’s allowed from the US ? Anxious and curious to find out. Thanks ! 😊
I have received an email in response to request to send in my own UMARY sample from a drug testing site, they confirm that they have tested multiple Umary samples and it does contain diclofenac. I have added a copy of the email to this comment and removed the links as required by the group rules.
Hello there,
We have tested several of these Umary supplements in the past and what we have seen is that they contain a medicine called diclofenac. Diclofenac is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug sold under the brand name Voltaren, among others. It can be used to treat mild to moderate pain for inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, migraines, ect. Diclofenac may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke an gastrointestinal issues, such as ulcers if used at high doses for prolonged periods. It is not recommended for use before or after heart surgery.
I can understand why you are worried, when they are not making it clear on the bottle what are the ingredients. They may have called this ingredient something else such as ortiga, which can be confusing.
If you'd like, you can search for diclofenac in our results database and see the other pills we have tested that contain this ingredient.
You can send your sample to this address:

I have added a post detailing thst I received from a drug testing clinic and posted that email here in the group comments.
Thank you! That is what I suspected, as well as possible dexamethasone. The diclofenac would explain why Umary has had a bad effect on some folks’ liver functions.
