Has anyone tried scleral contacts as part of dry eye therapy?
I have had 3 Lasik procedures in the distant past. I have had symptomatic dry eye for several years. Serum tears work best for me. I will go for annual eye exam next month and read about scleral contacts as a way to correct vision and hydrate. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Are u using blood eye serum? I am going to try that next. Is it helping? I have neuro keratitis which feels like something is sitting on your eye. This was brought on by surgery. I have tried a lot of different things. I tried a scleral lens a couple of months ago which eliminated my light sensitivity immediately and the foreign body feeling. However it was not that comfortable for me. It felt like it was floating I wore it for 3 weeks. I have also had RK which makes my cornea surface irregular. Definitely worth a try.

1 ReactionThe serum tears feel like balm. I use twice a day. I go for draws about every 3-4 months. Difficult to travel with. Best of luck!
Thanks. Do you feel the serum has helped get rd of your eye issues? Is it oily?
Do the serum drops create a film on the eye? I use nightly ointment and it creates a film, so that if I need to drive or do paperwork the next morning, I avoid using it.
The serum tears are not oily nor create a film. They are effective in relieving symptoms, but do not cure the dry eye—it will always need treatment. That is why I am curious about the scleral contact lens.
