I’ve been reading that golden milk has a lot of anti-inflammatory properties. Just wondering if anyone has tried it for the long Covid if so, please tell me your experience with it. Also if you have a good recipe.

I have stage 3 esophageal cancer and I'm always looking and trying anti inflammatory liquids, right now I'm trying every herbal tea I can buy or make. I have never heard of golden milk but will look it up and try it if I can find it in stores. Thank you

Just checked it's tumeric which I use and it does help with anti inflammatory help. I don't do it as a milk but as a simple tea. You should definitely try it. And definitely search anti inflammatory teas, herbs, spices and even bean liquids. I recently found out so many might help and went on buying binges and am trying them. Right now I'm testing Ginger and tumeric combo tea and feel alot better.
Always looking for more anti-inflammatory supplements ! One thing I found which is an anti-inflammatory which improves my brain fog to the point that I can read again is Shilajit, a substance used in the Himalayas. Some Shilajit compounds are contaminated with heavy metals, so you need to be careful about which product you choose. Ginger also helps me with mental clarity and energy level.
I have been taking 6 capsules of Reishi mushrooms 650 mg for ten years for arthritis and to build the immune system. I think COVID would have killed me if my immune system was not so good.
I made some with coconut milk, you can use any milk or non-dairy type milk you want. I had it last night and it tasted pretty good, I added honey to sweeten it. It also seem to help me sleep better… so there’s that too!
Caring about taste should be a non factor, results are what matter. So many people cause themselves health issues because food and drink taste is all they want. Of course I have a feeding tube in me so taste means nothing to me, I shoot drinks in me now I never did before because I hated the taste like yogurts, probiotics, butter milk..
It's turmeric. Wonderful Indian/ayurvedic remedy. BUT Milk for me right now is a huge MCAS inducer so I can't drink it. Turmeric is great for inflammation as is Quercetin. It's one peice of the solution to the puzzle. There is not 1 cure there are many. I've done them all and am coming out on the other side finally!
As krisb said it is just tumeric in milk. If you can't tolerate milk then just add it to any of your food. I add powdered tumeric to my bowl of oatmeal in the morning along with chia and flax and blueberries. I add it to soups, stirfrys and even to my tea. I drink Pacific brand Oat Milk along with my tea(green, rooibus, rooibus chai) and try to remember to add tumeric.
I am not fond of the taste so I try to hide it in the food. The best for me is in my bowl of oatmeal. I add about 1/2 tsp into my bowl. Just get it into your body so it can help.
You can also make it with coconut milk, almond milk, or almond milk or any milk alternative. I use the silk brand coconut milk, and it was really good.
I use tumeric because of MGUS. To make the curcumin in tumeric more bioavailable it should be mixed with a little black pepper. I add tumeric/pepper to stews, curries, rice, brownies, chocolate granola, and other things that mix with a peppery-ginger flavor. Tumeric is related to ginger and both have strong antiinflammatory properties.
