Has anyone here NOT gained weight from Forteo or Tymlos?

Hi,
I just started taking a teriparatide medication yesterday and now I'm kind of freaking out as I read all reports from people who have gained lots of weight from these medications. Has anyone here not gained weight as a result of teriparatide?

6 months on Tymlos and no noticeable weight gain other than 5 lbs that I needed to gain (was 105 at 5'5"). I did that deliberately by increasing protein by 50% for help with my osteoporosis. However, tummy/abdomen has become bloated on Tymlos. I also developed a hematoma from injection and so tummy is crooked and likely carrying fluid from the hematoma. Also fibrosis from repeated injections. I've gone off-label and injecting my thigh with caution since too much muscle in the thigh area. With my bloated abdomen, honestly, if you didn't know I was 77 years of age, you might think I was about 5 months pregnant. A medical miracle.

@willowmena oh geeze! I was told To inject in my stomach or thigh so you should be good. My thighs are too veiny so I'm sticking with my stomach. Good luck with the rest of your treatment!

On Tymlos for 2 moths now and no weight gain. Cycled through many symptoms since starting. The ones that have improved: headaches and diarrhea. The ones I’m still struggling with: severe back pain right after injection and pounding heart for 30 minutes after the shot. Hoping those go away, too.
