Has anyone had improvement in PACs with Flecanide?
The EP PA has confirmed what I suspected - the ablation has not reduced the PACs (approximately 19% of the time) due to proximity of the most problematic area to the SA node. There was little they could do in my R atria. Flecanide was given as my best option. I am wondering if anyone has had improvement with this drug. Thanks.

Flecainide controls the rhythm the beta blocker controls the rate( pulse)
What are PACs?
I am taking Flecainide, but was originally put on Metoprolol, 50 mg, which did NOT work for me. After being taken off that drug, I was put on Flecainide 50 mg, which I take nightly and also use as "pill in a pocket." It has helped regulate my arrhythmia.
PAC: Premature Atrial Contractions (upper chamber)
PVC: Premature Ventricular Contractions (lower chamber) - this is the one I have.
Premature atrial contractions or like an extra beat, can sort of feel like a skipped beat w the next two very close together.
Thanks!
