Has anyone had bright red spots on their skin when on Eliquis?

I have been on Eliquis for AFIB for a few years. I have been successful in losing about 25 pounds in the past few months and wonder if I need a dosage adjustment. The reason is that in the past 3 weeks I have seen an occasional bright cranberry-red spot on my skin, mostly on my legs. The first one I noticed when I was getting dressed in the morning. It was slightly smaller than a dime, was not mottled like a bruise and was not raised. It lasted 4-5 days and faded but is now a pale brown color. The next few have been the same bright, dark red color but smaller than the first. They all last a few days before fading. The one I have now is darker red like the color of a blood clot. One day when I got out of the shower I saw a tiny red dot on my face near the outer corner of my eye. I dabbed at it with a kleenex but nothing came off on the paper. I noticed that after I dabbed at it, it had become a tiny bit longer and as I watched, it grew longer until it was about 3/8" long. It didn't hurt or itch and like the leg spots, faded after a few days. I saw online that if you get red spots on your skin while on blood thinners that I need to call the doctor right away. I will call to see if I need to make an appointment or just post photos to them. Has anyone else had this happen?

No, and I have been taking Eliquis for about 5 years now. But it is something you could check with your doctor about.

I have been taking Eliquis for 3 years it agrees with me. Always check with your doctor when you notice strange things occur.
