Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?
I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

Have you tried mayo in Jacksonville?
That is so funny. My go to is a glass of white wine at supper. I enjoy that and with this illness there are not too many things in life that I enjoy anymore. Jesus turned water into wine for a reason so I figure what was good for the desciples can’t be that bad for me. 🤣
@dag112 When I applied back in 2019, only Rochester MN would accept patients on Medicare. Believe me, I would have preferred Jacksonville in Feb rather than MN. For the first time in my life, I experienced minus 28 degrees. I'm sure that is why Mayo in Rochester has all those underground tunnels. But, sooner or later, you need to go outside!
In my flying days my flight attendants would take a bunch of those little bottles of booze when we had overnights and share them when we had dinner in the hotel we stayed at. Never had wine on the plane as there was no place to keep it.
Interesting observation. Doxycycline is an impressively versatile drug and is unlike most other antibiotics in several notable regards. Recently it has shown clinical efficacy in the treatment of a cardio form of amyloidosis which includes among its prominent symptoms peripheral neuropathy.
As a Diabetic, I have learned that the Vitamin B complex is not good for me. I only take B-12. One of the other B Vitamins raises blood sugar. Don't remember which one.
Very interesting about this new use for doxy. Was a study done and do you have a link to the findings? I would appreciate reading more.
I know enough about doxy to know that it is effective for a type of inflammation whereas the prednisone I take for my PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica) helps with a different type of inflammation and actually the prednisone was only a minor treatment compared to what the doxy has done for me.
Just don’t fall for the ads promising a cure.
They are misleading us with untruths.
One thing that maybe the key is to be treated according to the cause of the Neuropathy. (There are more than 1 or even 3)
Anyone have a comment?
