Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?

I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

I've heard that dying is somewhat effective.

I never said it was my choice, just saying that it's an effective treatment, but I suspect very few will opt for it. It was also a TIC comment. It's actually quite effective for all ailments.

I use both Lyrica and Duloxetine: One Lyrica plus one duloxetine in a.m. and at bedtime. Two Lyrica x2 during the day, mid morning and mid afternoon for a total of six and two duloxetine. When I forget to take the dose on time, my toes usually remind me.

Just don’t fall for the ads promising a cure.
They are misleading us with untruths.

I had peripheral neuropathy for 14 moths. I was also on Zantac and meds for reflux I am a Parkinson’s person. I tried tart cherry juice twice a day one half cup and magnesium 150mgs o x 2 daily and I am fine. I missed a few days at the beginning and the symptoms j came back. I went back on the regime. All is fine again. It worked that’s all I know. Good luck

One thing that maybe the key is to be treated according to the cause of the Neuropathy. (There are more than 1 or even 3)

Anyone have a comment?

I would think that it can only be treated 1 way, because once you have it, it doesn't really matter how you became afflicted with it. Except, I guess, if it was due to alcohol consumption. You'd want to cut back to keep it from getting worse. I've done that, but I'm pretty sure mine was caused by using a TENS unit for my aching ankles. One day I woke up and my feet were numb!

@steveinmontana
You’re right about the alcohol.

I don’t drink at all.
My nerves were damaged when I got a form of Vasculitis.

Two thoughts:
`I find Lyrica helpful; just work out what dose suits you best
`Avoid or at least, cut down on the alcohol

Okay then, what's this magic cure for neuropathy that you managed to discover on your own?

I had noticed that I was having neuropathy symptoms about the same time I was put on proton pump med for .GERD and. Hiatal hernia. The symptoms were so insignificant I forgot about the connection. Months later when the neuropathy was very much present I noticed that my husbands doctor had placed him also on. Proton pump med for it had also ordered a magnesium supplement. I then found an article connecting low magnesium with neuropathy. A natural source was Tart Cherry juice 1 cup per day. I tried the juice and on day 5 my neuropathy was gone. I continue with the juice and I take Magnesium daily also. I have no more neuropathy symptoms about. I hope and pray this keeps working. Parkinson’s is not a very kind disease and any little positive milestone means
So much. Good luck to all who try it
