Yes, I experienced hair loss toward the end of my tapering off. It took me about 6 months to grow it back. My hair also developed a straw like texture when tapering off.

I was on prednisone foe 2 years for PMR. My hair started falling out not long after starting prednisone. After stopping, it grew back. I went into osteoporosis from the prednisone. Just started Prolia shots & the 1st week my hair started falling out again. Oh well, at least it's not life threatening. Good luck to you.
I’ve been taking biotin and currently I’m off the prednisone, but I’m still getting Actemra. The quality and consistency of my hair is disgusting. HELP
I am two months into Actemra infusions and on prednisone since March, now at 20 mg down from 60 mg for Giant Cell Arteritis.
My hair is thinning and texture has changed. I know this is a pred side effect but has anyone experienced this while on Actemra alone? Geez, I’ve been so anxious to get off the prednisone it hadn’t occurred to me it could be ongoing if I have to be on Actemra.
I was diagnosed with PMR in January and have tapered down to 3 mg/day. I'm beginning to feel a little better, thankfully, however ever since I've been on prednisone, my hair has started thinning out and I'm losing some hair every day. I had heard about Biotin (100mg/day) could help. Has anyone had this problem and if so, have they considered Biotin and if it's safe to take? I would ask my rheumatologist however I can't get into see him until perhaps the end of the year!! There's a long, long waiting list!

I have been wondering the same thing!
Yes, I am now experiencing hair loss. I am currently taking 6 mg of Prednisone. I’m wondering if this continues?
It will continue as long as you are on prednisone.
I was on predisone in March, still losing hair, feels like straw, really disgusted, have.tried different shampoo, oil treatment , now taking biotin.

I take biotin too. It's helpful for the growth.
