Has anyone experienced graft failure after CABGx3?
I had a triple bypass (CABGx3), and about 8 weeks later, I had my first heart attack—a minor one (NSTEMI). I was told the vein used for the grafts was of poor quality, which may have caused them to fail.
I ended up needing urgent stent placement, and during the same procedure, a balloon angioplasty was done on a previously untreated artery.
Has anyone gone through something similar? I’d really appreciate hearing how your situation was managed and what your recovery looked like.

My widower maker failed, but some years later. Rare, my doctor said, and then it was discovered I had super elevated Lipoprotein A--->400. I'm good at clogging arteries even with exercise and nutrition and med compliance. Stent placed on an artery they thought couldn't be treated in the past.
The same thing happened to my husband. He had a triple bypass but needed a quadruple bypass but the artery they got from his leg wasn’t very good, so 3 got done. About a year and a half later he had a heart attack because one of his arteries got blocked again. They were able to stent the 4th one at that time. His recovery has for the most part has been good. I hope you feel better. I do know it takes awhile to recover. It’s been 9 years since his CABG.
