Hair loss and Bronchiectasis
My doctor has me doing nebulizer treatments twice daily (or more if coughing a lot) with Ipratropium Albuterol, 3% sodium chloride, and budesonide. After a couple weeks my hair started falling out in much larger amounts. Has anybody else experienced this or have a guess about why? Is it the nebulizer treatments or my lower oxygen levels causing it? Or stress?

@barnettk18 Hi there! MN gal here so I choose to have Mayo Rochester oversee my care. However, my ID doc, pulmonologist, cardiologist, audiologist, and ophthalmologist are all at UMN in partnership with Mayo with their labs/sputum sent to ARUP in Salt Lake City. My choice was based on teaching
hospitals as I've found they stay most up to date on ACT, PD, and meds. As a retired microbiologist and organic chemist, Mayo Rochester is the best choice for me.
@terrimn good advice. Thanks. I am going to try Mayo in Arizona in the spring. Appreciate the info. Stay healthy.

@barnettk18 National Jewish Health in Denver is Mecca and Dr Charles Daley is the top doc in this field. I am going there for seven clinical days February 16. It’s a major effort but my docs at Mass General Boston will follow their protocol. Mass General is a center of excellence for BE and NTM but they are not as thorough as NJH.
