Hair loss
I started Cimzia a few months ago and now my hair is falling out by the handful. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to slow the hair loss down?

@mlledaffodil Appreciate your comments. I’m going to try the rosemary mixture
I’ll just add that hair loss can be due to many factors. My doctors aren’t sure why I got it. My scalp biopsy is inconclusive. It could be post covid, stress,
hormonal, autoimmune ….? I am currently seeing 2 doctors about it. My dermatologist is treating it as possibly autoimmune and I’m taking Hydroxychloroquine. I’m also taking oral Minoxidil and using a prescription shampoo. Also, daily red light therapy treatments. I wish I’d have gotten more intense with my treatment earlier.
@celia16 has all of this helped your hair loss? Thank you for response
@lgreg , hmmmm…..it’s probably too soon to say, however….after about 3 months on the Minoxidil I had new hair sprouting from the front of my hairline. It’s the #1 recommended treatment for hair loss. That is documented by me and my dermatologist. I do have extra hair growing on my face and body. Separate issue to deal with. Lol
Since then, I’m not sure. That’s why I started other measures. The red light may take 6 months to a year. My main goal is to maintain. After styling, my hair appears full and normal. But I was shedding.
To me, it seems much improved. I think the antifungal shampoo makes it appear more full. Oh, I also use Clobetasol foam on the scalp to address inflammation. I may also start other meds, depending on my progress at dermatologist next month.
Thank you. Very helpful
