Hair loss

I started Cimzia a few months ago and now my hair is falling out by the handful. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to slow the hair loss down?

I would also like to know if anyone has remedies for hair loss. The one natural remedy I found online is rosemary.

And how to make your own

I am going to give it a try.

I started losing my hair after Methotextrate injections for Relapsing Polychronditis. Taking Folic Acid helped getting my hair to grow back. Researching what each prescription depletes has been helpful to me. Checking with a pharmacist has also been helpful. Good luck. Maybe a blood test where they check your iron and B12 may help.

@imar thank you for info. I am also on methotrexate and already take folic acid. but Cimzia really caused extreme hair loss. I’ll check with rheumatologist, thanks again

I went to a health food/source store in town that has vitamins, creams, food, you name it ... they had shampoos and recommended a few and I tried that. It's slowly growing back but it seems I have a balder spot from sleeping. Anyway... you can try to look into that. Rosemary oil/water made my thin hair really oily . My next try will be ROUTINE or CANTU line(s). I'll comment later if it helps.

@smmattocks
Rosemary tea. Sosk spray your scalp with this tea, massage, squeeze excess tea, wrap hair in a towel till ready to style. This work. I did it 2 times a week and it worked. Patience is a virtue! Note:Your hair might become darker.

@parrot53 found legitimate medical research showing essential oils as or more effective than minoxidil, so I made solution of rosemary, peppermint & I think chamomile in topical coconut oil, massaged into scalp daily. Also using light therapy & supplements. Something has worked, as extreme autoimmune hair loss has seen some regrowth. But it could just be next hair cycle…
