GUIDE Program

Has anyone had any experience with the GUIDE Program?
Evidently our local medical providers have joined with Medicare to offer this to dementia patients who are on Medicare, but not enrolled in an Advantage plan.
It sounds like it would be additional resources, but I’m not sure I want to add anymore to our list of medical providers, pharmacies, therapy, PT, caregivers we employ. I sometimes feel like the squirrel on the wheel trying to keep up with appointments/medications.
Thanks, Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
I just recently applied for the Guide program as I am the caregiver for my husband who has vascular dementia. I’m anxious to see how it goes. I am also enrolled in my states elder community resource program. I get what you mean about being in so many things. I sometimes forget which agency I am on the phone with. I’m just grateful for the help at all.My husband had a hemorrhagic stroke 10 years ago and now has this dementia diagnosis. I’m overwhelmed to say the least.
