Welcome @timberridge1969, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for both you and your father. While you wait for members with experience to share, I thought I would post a few references in case you want to learn more about GBS and possible treatments.

Thank you very much for taking time to share! Dad just got moved to rehab today! We hope he will recover faster now that he gets therapy, although I'm expecting it to be painful as well, we are praying that he could start regaining strength now! Do you have any information on natural products or nutritional helps that could be given to enhance recovery?
Glad to hear that your dad is now in rehab. Are you able to talk with the rehab folks about ways that you might be able to help your dad's recovery?
I just heard from my sister and they approved the life vantage products that we were giving him previously, they are great products and we are pleased that they are ok with them! They are designed to activate the body to heal itself! I plan to take my turn to spend the day with dad tomorrow! I will be asking more questions! LOL!
Life Vantage products...Where can I find information on ones your dad takes for GBS. HOPE he is doing well.
I wouldn't worry too much yet: that's not uncommon. Stay in touch with the doctor. My wife was treated with immunoglobulin and physical therapy, and had a good recovery, but it did take time, and recovery time varies: My wife's friend who had it much worse and was paralyzed, made a faster and full recovery. Go figure!!
