Hi this is a longshot but i get pain when i drink water during night...saw this on web site; earthandhuman.org coy and paste, not sure if anything of interest

How to Relieve Stomach Pain Caused by Drinking Water?

Try to drink warm water as it is easier to absorb.

Test your water supply annually to check for any contamination.
Check your water pipes and make sure they are well-maintained without any leakage.

I have to tell you that anytime I drink city water with the chemicals, tears my stomach up. Including tea, ice or coffee. If I drink bottled water or we’ll water I’m fine.

@lacy2. It is important to test your well water, particularly after anything that may have affected it. We have well water from 700’ down and had to replace the pump last year. We ended up having to do two disinfections before it was pure enough. The impurities weren’t that bad, and some people probably would have lived with them but due to my compromised immune system we would not take a chance.

I think that site is basically one that links you to local businesses, so advertising, but it does have some good info. I was surprised that it didn’t mention salt in the water. Our well is next to the driveway so we are very careful not use salt on the driveway when there’s icy weather.

Hi... @jk thanks for info yes didnt know who was behind the web site, so its to obtain business in the water industry... i usually check source of web sites... but on way out door to dentist yesterday ... long story short years ago we lived where daugher is now, old cottage, and water issues right from day one with well... anyway quite a few calls with government agency and one day he said, you can test the water one day and 2 days later will be a problem, 2 days later ok..... i thought, well, we're sunk then! But this cottage/house on a slope to lake so who knows what liquids were running through the soil...even if we are/were 100 per cent on top of having water tested etc., what's to say we visit someone with a well, or even a restaurant or such that has a well, we how no clue as to whether or not they have water checked. Even our municipal water has chemicals added and now zinc.. why zinc.. to protect the pipes!! We live 2 blocks from the water treatment plant and i always feel that the closer we are to the chemicals, the closer we are to the chemicals... and apparently its true. But not much choice unless we get a rain barrel! i am not a "tree hugger" but seems we humans are causing so many problems for ourselves these days. J.

@lacy2 Even though it was a link to local water treatment places it did have some very good info. As I said, I was just surprised that it didn't mention salt but maybe it was not written by someone in a snowy state where salt is often used on roads and driveways. I hope that being 700' down does help with our water purity, that's a lot of filtering on its way down.

Our water is better tasting than good purchased water like Poland Springs. We are very spoiled in that regard.
