Can gabapentin cause muscle pain and cramps in arms & legs?
Has anyone ever had the experience of Gabapentin causing severe muscle cramps in arms and legs and muscular pain and feeling of weakness? I know it is supposed to basically do the opposite and help with muscular problems......but this has happened twice to me as soon as I started the gaba and it was very severe,

I’m 72 and ‘rapture ready’ and have adopted Paul’s Biblical philosophy, ‘to live is Christ, to die is gain, so I’m 0 concerned about long term issues!😉

1 ReactionI started Gabapentin 100 mg. Twice daily 3 months ago, I am having severe muscle aches and pains and swelling in hands and lower legs with weight gain and can’t sleep. It didn’t do this to me 9 years ago when I took it after my lumbar fusion. This is very uncomfortable.

1 ReactionHello Friend. I have taken Gab with higher dosage for literally five years twice a day and the only time I notice pain or distress is when I forget to take a dose. I am not a physician so haven’t studied all the variations and side effects others may encounter. I would think being a frequent traveller on the chronic pain train your dosing is not adequate. If you can recall or find out your original dosage which had been therapeutic it might reveal what is a more effective dosage. Our goal is not to be uncomfortable while we face our difficulties. Your symptoms need to be evaluated and addressed as indicators of a problem. You are no less a champion for asking for some medical guidance. Take care.

2 Reactions@Neurologists ( if you can find a good one) have two things on their minds and that is big pharma and a program that drs use called open evidence. Its merely an ai generated system thatgives random anyalisis of your condiction so the dr is programmed to use its material. Also anyone taking drugs for ailments of any kind can look to see if their dr is getting kick backs from big pharma. Its called the Sunshine act and id 100 % legal to check on your dr to see if he / she is maligned by $.Neurologists always go towards the easiest target to make a diagnosis and will be hard pressed to look further into your xasemargaretob

1 Reaction@applejack112 Doctors get big kickback from chemo treatments!
I’m 72 and will NOT take chemo OR radiation!!
If it can’t be fixed with holistic immunotherapy, then just keep me as comfortable as possible and let me go to The HOUSE!!😁
