Anyone have numbness and tingling through entire body? Doctor has no idea what could be causing it.

Non length dependent small fiber neuropathy can cause numbness and tingling, throughout the body. I have it in feet, legs, hands, arms, and face. A skin biopsy can diagnose this. See a neurologist.

Will Nerologyst do the biopsy or will a dermatologist?

Is your MRI of the brain AND your cervical spine? With contrast? If this was me, that would be my standard. Positional symptoms are an important observation for the Dr to note. A Doctor may even be able to reproduce it in the office or lab. I feel certain you can have a diagnosis and care plan determined. Advocate for yourself without hesitancy bc it's important that you get an intervention for your problem.

Honestly I’m not sure he only told me he was going to order an mri and gave me a time and date to go to the hospital. I will update after I have it

A neurologist. They will probably also do a nerve conduction study.

Hello @anon25user, Welcome to Connect. I know how scary it can be when the doctors are not able to figure out what is causing your symptoms and you feel all alone. I'm tagging @potta54321, @franksgirl210 and @terlato who have discussed similar symptoms in other discussions to see if they may have some thoughts or experiences to share with you.

Have you thought about seeking help at a teaching hospital or major health facility?

I think genetic testing is the correct way to go. I see a neurologist and pain management for HNPP.
I also have CLL and see oncologist. Now trying plasma infusions and helping.
My newest is Neuroendocrine tumors. They thought I had POTS. Now I have to see a endocrinologist to confirm diagnosis. This also might be causing a lot of problems. Will keep updates.

Update. Mri was normal. Pcp has no plans for further testing. I’ve asked to be referred to a neurologist but haven’t heard back yet

Hi. Google symptoms of magnesium deficiency. Then buy some. Read not to take same time w calcium or zinc. Then feel better in 15-30days. Which to pick? For you, multi forms in one. Best uptake by far are greens. If you can drink fresh greens smoothie you'll feel better in about 10 days. ( With less supplement support. ) I can post a scientific link if you want the whole biochemistry.

PS see NIH web. Numbness and tingling is listed after explanation of process of depletion in body over time. Your symptoms are common for this deficiency. And there's no harm if you've properly taken this supplement for 30 days. We need it anyway.

What do you mean “ properly take it?” Other than not with calcium. I took it for a couple of days and had remarkably less pain but still numb. But then the pain returned and my legs were numb and heavy. I’m going to wait a week and try again but I’ll be careful not to take at same time as calcium. Maybe that’s what I did.

Yes I have had similar all over body sensations and I’ve been diagnosed with several vitamin and iron deficiencies, check out my post about it.
