Fuchs Dystrophy, any information and experience appreciated

I have been diagnosed with Fuchs Dystrophy and would like to hear from others about their experience. I am currently using the saline drops 3 times per day and the ointment at night just in my right eye. I have been using the drops for about 6-8 weeks because my vision was diminishing. Also, about 3 years ago I had cataract surgery and had the multi focal lens inserted. I had just been diagnosed with the Fuchs but was assured it was ok to have the cataract surgery and lens replacement. Now my vision is ok in my left eye, but still a little blurry in the right eye. It’s been a journey but I have been blessed with perfect vision up until the last 3 years so don’t want to sound ungrateful.

Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks

In the same boat as you. Need surgery for pterygium but steroids can exacerbate Fuchs. Ugh. Sorry to hear you are going through this.

I was diagnosed also this past December went to a specialist at John Hopkins and told me it’s a mild case my right eye also is a problem. I use the drops three times a day just like you and the antibiotic ointment at night. The specialist told me not to worry about it right now they just keep an eye on it. I have very dry eye, especially in the right eye
