Anyone with Parkinson's have night foot cramps? Any tips?

does anyone else experience painful foot cramps at night? Very uncomfortable and wakes me up. I am wondering if compression socks will help. I live in Canada and waiting for the extended release form of cardodopa/levedopa to be approved for use, hoping that will help.

I too found that I was getting more leg cramps (aka Charlie-horses) at night. To relieve them I keep my leg out straight and slowly pull my foot up towards me by rotating my ankle. As for hand tremors and typing on the phone screen I bought a stylus device with the rubbery tip. That really works well for me and the accuracy at hitting the right key has greatly improved.

I take magnesium Glycinate 1000mg , 2 gummy bears
One hour before bedtime. It stopped my cramps in 2-3 nights. I buy them on Amazon. Raspberry flavored. Taste is good.

Regarding Cramps: I have the tightness in hand, arm, leg and many times shoulders. For years my wife has been doing fascia blasting. she said let me do this to your hand and the relief was remarkable. She then did my shoulders and leg again it helped greatly. Now this is NOT a permanent fix, but it does provide relief for me. Look into this fascia blasting thing it helps me. Oh, and sometimes it does hurt but the relief is real.
I did also save up money to get her a small motorized "blaster" and that works even better. Yes, it was a present for her---but hey she's great and doesn't mind sharing.

I have dystonia in my hamstrings which has now affected my calves and feet. Within the last few weeks, my calves and feet have been cramping. Very painful. Unable to sit without pain. I have had DBS. I have an excellent movement disorder specialist who has a lot of experience. But I seem to be unresponsive to treatment so far. Anyone else have similar issues ? Thanks.

why did it have to be pickle juice! I wish you said every time I eat a Kit Kat it goes away. well, if my cramps get really bad, I'll suffer through the pickle juice.

At first the Pickle juice was a little hard to swallow. But my taste buds got use to it. It is not to bad going down now. After all.. It's only a shotglass full. And if it stop those painful leg cramps, you're it made!!

Agreed if it stops the pain and cramps it’s worth it. Maybe I’ll use a Kit Kat as a chaser
