Flashing lights in my peripheral vision

I agree with you on the fall factor! I fell off of a ladder on 2014 from the height of a second story window and landed on my butt on solid concrete as you fracturing a vertebrae and after that I experienced a detachment of the Vitreous gel in my R eye followed by the L. Now I asked my Dr if the sudden shock was a contruibuiting factor for detachments and he said NO but I think it prompted and accelerated the issue if it was to come! Yes he may have gone to school for 10 yrs but I had this body for 70+ therefore, I hold several doctorates on ME medicine.

I started seeing jagged flashing lights in my vision while I was pregnant with my 2nd child in the early 1990’s. I was in my early 30’s then. It seemed to be associated with a bad headache and I would just go lay down and it would go away. Back then I would take an acetominophen for it also. I learned it must be a migraine headache. Since then (over 30 years since then) it has returned on and off and I stopped taking acetominophen for it and many times I have stopped even laying down also for it and it does eventually go away as well but it always seems to be associated with a headache. I’m still assuming it’s just a migraine headache as I have read that can happen with a migraine headache to do with visual disturbances. I had a fall twice though once when I was a child (off the back outside stairwell at my parents house that had no railing on it where I fell down backwards about 12 feet I guess it was and landed on my back and it just seemed to knock the wind out of me. Additionally as an adult I fell again from running and after tripping on a hose in my yard where I landed on my side and fractured my pelvis from that. But that 2nd fall happened after the birth of my 2nd child in 1991.
