Hi
I take cyclobenzaprine also known as flexeril it's a muscle relaxer that works on nervous system and pain. Also I take Cbd/Cbn. It works well. I was on cymbalta after a knee surgery ,it's great for pain but horrid to get off. It took me 9 mths.
I have multiple health issues and am unsure when it's fibromyalgia, I would like to know if anyone else is dealing with this problem.
I am most definitely dealing with the same issues. I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and they mimic the same for me. I’ve been getting test for the past two years, I have a positive ANA, I have all symptoms of what they call lupus but, still not getting answers I need.
What is your daily dose of Flexeril? Also, what form of CBD/CBN do you take? thanks.
Hi
I started at 10mg , now I take 5mg. I was on 10mg for quite a few years. I went off it and just took cbd, then got a compression fracture in my spine so I have been on it for the last yr. Recently switched plain. Cbd to cbd/cbn it works much better really helps with sleep and pain. It's an oil I do a low dose 0.3ml at bedtime with the cyclobenzaprine. You have to be careful because the 2 together can make you groggy or dizzy if you do to much cbd. They both use tge same pathway
My Treatment Survival List
This is a list of what has helped. I am highly reactive to prescriptions and avoid them at all cost if possible. I have compiled a 1½ page list of allergic reactions to various meds to avoid repeats.
1. Acid Reflux after meals: 4 or 5 almonds after breakfast; ½ teaspoon of baking soda in water after lunch, one Tums after dinner (sometimes forced to take 2 tabs). Tums can give you side effects. If you try vinegar/water treatment -NEVER TAKE WITH BAKING SODA!
2. Heating Pad - Has worked in the past for pelvic pain
3. Knudsen Tart Cherry - Decreases Inflammation - Has changed the nightly every 1.5 hr trips to the bathroom to 4.5 hours, never caused by urinary tract infections - has been inflammation all along.
4. Gatorlyte - High dose electrolyte drink, only 60 calories since stevia is used for the sweetener. Helpful when I have muscle cramping in many, many other parts of the body.
5. Lemon Balm - Calming
6. Magnesium Glycinate (350 mg) by Life Seasons - Is a “Buffered” 4 pill daily dose.
7. Mt Olive Pickle Juice - I keep one small “Pickle Juice Sprots Drink Shot” by the bed, stops cramps in about one minute to a minute and a half (maybe less, just seems like an eternity). I peal off the outer plastic cover without unscrewing it, until needed so it will not spoil until used.
8. Passion Flower or Valerian - Puts you to sleep
9. Prevagen Extra Strength (3 months to become effective after initiation) - Cleared the brain fog
10. Probulin Probiotic - Colonic Support - very expensive, plan taking for a couple of months due to years of physicians prescribing Omeprazole (PPI) when the literature stated not to take for longer than 14 days. I am convinced this wreaked havoc on my digestive system. This was further aggravated by physicians prescribing antibiotics for UTI’s which were false positives due to faulty specimen collections. The pain was inflammation all along.
11. Theraworx Relief for Muscle Cramps (Foam) - Spread on thighs and calves before bed. Have used for the last 6 nights and seems to work.
---------------
Notes: A one-hour rest in the afternoons is very helpful. The Lemon Balm, Passion Flower or Valerian is taken at night before bed. The Tart Cherry Juice will make you tired but I do take it during the day. You can add a little water to the glass, is less tart if you do not eat anything sweet before drinking. Walmart is the least expensive that I have found.
Thank you for taking the time to answer everything in detail. I really appreciate it. I will definitely go and purchase these items. I need something bad and like you said the prescribed meds are an addictive nightmare. Many blessing to you!
Hope it helps! Be aware that the Valerian has a natural smell of "dirty socks". The capsules have no taste. It is normal for this Valerian root to smell this way. I suggest you keep the plastic bottle it in a sealed container after opening.
