Agree me too. However, now on my 4th month in Camzyos my energy is getting back and my face is getting back the normal color.
Hi @hpboss84. Since going on Camzyos (Sept 2023) ALL of my HCM symptoms have completely vanished. But before that? I wasn't tired in the "sleepy" sense. More like "I've just done a hard, 3 hour workout" sense. I was unable to climb a flight of stairs without 1 or 2 rest stops to let the dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, and palpitations pass. Couldn't bend over to tie my shoes without the same. Ditto going for a walk - on completely flat ground I might get a block away before I's have to stop. On a super-gentle incline, it was just like stairs. ANY kind of exertion just had me exhausted. I'm one of the lucky ones who was eligible for Camzyos and also one of the lucky ones for whom Camzyos work hard and fast. Less than 2 weeks in, I felt NOTHING of my 17 years of progressively worse symptoms. I feel your pain. I hope you can get relief.
I agree I am chronically exhausted, when I do have a bit of energy, I will do some work such as mowing the lawn and when I stop I crash.
I have had the same issue. I am 83 so maybe that has something to do with it. But I was surprised that when I started a 6 week physical therapy program that it really gave a significant boost to my energy level. You might talk to your doctor and see if a physical therapy program is appropriate for you and if your insurance will pay for it. Now I just keep moving and find the activity really helps keep my energy level up. Good luck! If you don’t use it, you will lose it! 🙂
It’s really hard to know what kinds of physical activities we can do. I was told not to ever lift anything over 10 pounds. So I try to judge what physical activities I can safely do. Also, if I go out to shop or run errands, I find I have to take it easy the next day. But I am 83 so that probably has a lot to do with it. We are all different and have to pace ourselves according to what our own bodies need. But I feel very lucky that resting for a while really works and brings some energy back and I can keep going. That wasn’t the case before my septal myectomy at Mayo Rochester almost 4 years ago.
