Experience w. Temazepam 7.5-15mg in 3 weeks - 3months range?

I researched extensively benzos and understand the cons of regularly taking them for more than a couple of weeks. (although I've also seen research that says in very low dozes LT use, while undesirable, if necessary, is OK.

I have been taking Temazepam 15mg occasionally (1 day few times/year) for life-triggers (anxiety and depression come and go). Had one in October and 2 weeks ago I stopped falling asleep and when I rarely did, there were frequent wakeups and max 3-4hrs of sleep. When I realized it persists beyond 2-3 days I halved the doze and contacted my GP. He's pushing Mirtazapin and I prefer to avoid meds. My access to quality/specialized care is limited and slow. Sleep aids and CBT-I do not work for me.

At 7.5mg withdrawal is likely not an issue, but dropping the med and giving up sleep is not a solution even in the short term. Questions for anybody with similar experience and Temazepam?

1. At 7.5mg for how long beyond 2 weeks can I risk stretching it?
2. What if I have to go up to 15mg?
3. At these dozes how long does tolerance, dependence, withdrawal take to develop?
