Hi there. No, he does not think it contributes to cancer in my case. I think I have told you before that I have been on estrogen bioidentical since I was 46 years old. I am now 68 years old. My first doctor in New York City started to give me the estrogen cream, and I have taken it since her name is Erika Schwartz. She has written many books if you want to Google her name. I then started to go closer to home to Dr Bazzan. You could also google his name and read his website, which talks extensively about HRT. Everything depends on your blood work and your family history, of course.
Read about bioidentical hormone therapy. Google these two doctors and read what they have to say. I have no breast cancer history in my family, so there wasn’t a concern when I was 46. From what I understand, we only don’t have estrogen now because of menopause; lack of estrogen leads to osteoporosis. I am tested every year to make sure that I am clear. It’s scary because mainstream doctors know what they know and don’t see outside the box, from my experience. My endocrinologist does not even have time to hear about my hormone replacement therapy. She thinks I should be on every kind of osteoporosis medicine. I respectfully told her I would rather stay with the HRT. My numbers have improved so much. I am even in osteopenia in some areas. Twenty years ago, when I was diagnosed with osteopenia, they wanted to put me on prolia. I refused, and I thank God I did when I heard about the side effects of these medicines. They work wonders for some people, and it is an individual choice. So many times on this forum, I read about the horrendous side effects women experience, and it validates my concerns. I hope this helps you again; I am not an expert. I can only tell you what I found in my experience as a doctor's daughter. I was taught always to question and to look beyond the box. My dad has long passed, but he was an exceptional physician. We all have to remember that doctors are human. They are not perfect. I hope this helps you a bit. God bless. I want to add that I do weightlifting daily and Pilates three times a week. I also take supplements.

Quick question please. My wife hit menopause around 40. I know she took estrogen and also progestrogen(sp?).
She was luckily diagnosed with early breast cancer, hada a lumpectomy of the one breast. No chemo needed and a short radiation treatment. She has been cleared now 8 months later, thank God. But she is still taking estrogen and maybe some proges. These were not by doctor's orders and NOT advised. Advice? Worries me.
I'm just getting on hrt now. I'm 74. It's best to start on It from menopause or before 10 yrs of perimenopause.since I'm in great health, took all the tests and blood work to check, my Dr. started me.
Bio identical estrogen is best.
My doctor is doing a biopsy surgery to find out why my uterus lining is 9 mm thick. I am wearing a pessary which makes me bleed. I’ve had a 411 years now but I was bleeding more frequently now since I took it out, there has been no bleeding. Thank God but Postmenopausal my line should not be more than 4 mm she put me on progesterone I’ve heard at the can lead to cancer, heart attack and strokes. I appreciate information on this. Thank you.
I had hysterectomy 30years ago. Asked my Dr. “ what would you put your mom on!! there was my answer. I am now 63 and on same estrogen med! Gotta have faith in Dr.
Thank you for sharing your story and congratulations on being in remission. I wish you many years of a full and joyous life!
