Welcome to Mayo Connect. I looked up who the "eplipsey montering unit staff " are? Do you care to add some additional information? Are you currently under the care of a eplipsey montering group as inpateint or an outpatient? And if so, what clinic/hospital are you being treated at?

Thanks

I've stayed in the EMU in Phoenix AZ multiple times. The staff are wonderful. My seizures are Focal Unaware and the EMU showed me videos of me having seizures and it helped me so much. My only advice is when you feel micromanaged, all the caution and care is to insure your safety.

Hi @ellierwin
I had my neuropsychological evaluation a few months after my epilepsy diagnosis in February 2019. It was extremely valuable, showing me that the cognitive losses I was experiencing were not just feelings.
How did your neuropsychological evaluation go last week? Have you already received the report?

Hi @ellierwin
I'm tagging @dannoyes, who has been treated for epilepsy at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He'll surely be able to share his experience with the Epilepsy Unit there!

@ellierwin, please note that I have removed the results of the neuropsychological evaluation from the public forum. As per the Community Guidelines (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/about-connect/tab/community-guidelines/) it is advised not to post personal information about yourself or others. This includes phone numbers, email and mailing addresses and patient numbers (MRN).

Mayo Clinic Connect is a place for patients to share experiences, and give and get support. Members on the forum cannot interpret an evaluation or medical tests. Only your physician can make an accurate analysis, since they will have all the pieces of the puzzle, including your medical history, health status, complete test results as well as your personal preferences.
