Eosinophils and MAC and a good doctor near West Palm Beach Fl
Waiting for MAC results, so far I know I have very high eosinophils that came back from the Bronchoscopy. Does anyone else also have that happen? Also trying to find a good doctor near West Palm Beach Fl. My doctor highly suspects MAC, but not very comfortable with this physician.

My cough has completely stopped a week after my Bronchoscopy, has anyone experienced that? Still waiting for results of culture.

1 ReactionThank you, Ling, I hope you are well. Enjoy Hawaii.
Yes, same thing happened to me. I think it’s because they clean out all the mucous built up in your lungs. It was wonderful!

1 ReactionI also have had intermittently higher eosinophils, 700 just recently, seemingly going up since a pseudomonas exacerbation & after Levaquin. I’m reading there could be a newer phenotype of BE having high eosinophils. The literature is saying this group responds to inhaled corticosteroids, while IC aren’t advised for those with low eosinophils. I’m talking to my BE doc at UCSF Thursday and will get back to you on what I learn if it is relevant. Should you learn something, please pass the info on. This seems to be new information. Thanks!
