Enlarged heart

I got sick in February had double pneumonia stay in the hospital for about one week in half they did not put a I.V bag at all when I got discharge I came home with one medication only pills that's all plus I have a enlarged heart and a linkage valve. Because one day I sat on my bed and fell hot liquids come out but I never thought about until now. These doctors out here don't care they only see dollar signs only plus I'm on oxygen too I'm 66 years old I have 13 grkids who I want to see grow up. So does anyone know what kind of meds are good for this.I have acute respiratory hypnotic heart failure.

Those of us on MCC cannot prescribed medications or say what is good for you. What we take we can mentioned is medication we take for our specific diagnosis and treatment. That is specific to our medical history and our specific medical conditions. I take Entresto and Carvididol for my HF. I take a inhaler for my pulmonary flareups per my pulmonologist.

Do you have access to a major medical facility? If so my recommendation would be to try and go there. I am a patient at Mayo and have been since 2006.

I am confused about your condition and the symptoms you mentioned. Was it from the pneumonia? If it was from pneumonia that is something for pulmonologist to be seeing you and treating you. If it is from an enlarged heart from cardilogist and or HF doctore. What is your EF?

Acute respiratory hypnotic heart failure is a specific diagnosis that both a HF doctor and pulmonoligist should be treating you and what medication you should be on. If you are not getting the care you feel you need please consider going to a major medical facility.

I drove 4 hours every time I went to Mayo Jacksonville to be able to see expert doctors and get expert care. In 2015 I moved to the Jacksonville area and now my drive is 25 minutes versus 3 hours. It is well worth the drive or flying to get expert medical care.

Hi Greenbell, I had similar symptoms way back when I first had heart Failure. My question is, you mention hot liquids where did they come out from? The enlarged heart can happen from fluids around the Lungs and Heart. I would suggest finding a cardiologist in your area to follow up with. What kind of medication did they give you?
